EMS CME Education and Training Day at Laerdal's LINC

Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital sponsored a Difficult Airway CME (Continuing Medical Education) credit course on April 1st from 9-11am at Laerdal Medical Corporation's LINC (Laerdal Information and Networking Center).  30 area Paramedics participated in the CME that contained both cognitive and hands-on experience.  Dr. Faizan Arshad, Emergency Physician at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center, spoke about Pit Crew CPR, high flow nasal cannulas in peri-arrest patients, and PEEP valves for BVM’s. The participants were then able to practice intubating Laerdal manikins using traditional equipment, the bougie, and a Glidescope.
