How do you maintain the FR2?

Maintenance of the FR2 is very simple, but an important factor in its dependability.Parts such as battery and pads have limited shelflife, indicated by an expiry date, and thus must be checked with regular intervals. When in standby mode the FR2 performs many maintenance activities itself. These include daily, weekly and monthly selftests. Full energy discharge is performed once a month to verify shock delivery performance.  In addition a detailed selftest is run whenever a battery is inserted. The FR2 itself communicates readiness by a flashing hourglass in the status indicator. By just walking past you can easily tell if the device is operational. The Heartstart FR2 requires no calibration or verification of energy delivery. Hence no technical maintenance is needed.More information is found in the Heartstart FR2 User Guide.
