The AHA’s Learn: Rhythm Adult Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
Electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm recognition is a key skill required to be successful in determining a patient’s condition and knowing which treatment algorithm to apply. This self-directed, online course introduces healthcare providers to normal cardiac rhythms and prepares them to recognize basic cardiac arrhythmias in clinical practice. This course allows healthcare providers to gain proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition in an effort to provide better treatment and improve patient outcomes.
No skills session is required to complete the course. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to apply for continuing education credits.

· Relationship between ECG strip and heart impulses
· Common arrhythmias
· Identifying and distinguishing various arrhythmias
· Two-part AHA exam
· Certificate of completion available to print upon successful completion
· Access to course content for 12 months following activation of course key
This course is for healthcare professionals who need basic rhythm recognition skills. This includes telemetry staff, and those preparing for ACLS, such as paramedics/EMTs, nurses, physicians, clinical pharmacists and respiratory therapists.
