Mission
|
As pioneers and leaders in clinical simulation, we integrate experiential learning into the full spectrum of nursing education, research, and practice to ensure optimum clinical outcomes. |
Learner population – number and type of learners by discipline
|
Approximately 600 undergraduate students, 600 graduate students and 100 plus doctoral students. |
Program goals
| Our Clinical Simulation Laboratories set the standard for the integration of simulation into educational strategies with the use of advanced technologies. These experiences enhance a student-centered learning curriculum that has a primary focus on developing critical thinking in a virtual and safe environment. Multi-layered and multi-disciplinary strategies produce collaborative leaders who create and utilize evidence-based research to shape and guide healthcare locally, nationally, and internationally. |
How do you use simulation to achieve your program goals?
| Simulation is an integral part of the curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate level of education. The educational philosophy is to serve as the bridge between the didactic and the clinical portion of a student’s educational experience. |
