MicroSim™ Curriculum
If you are with educational institution or healthcare facility and wish to integrate MicroSim into your curriculum, MicroSim Curriculum is your solution. With MicroSim curriculum you can configure the system to meet the educational needs of your learners at different professional levels. For example, you can have first year students configured to have access to fewer drugs than your second year students as well as have a physician’s profile. Protocols and evaluation methods can also vary between groups of your learners, so you can set up the profiles accordingly.
CMS (Competence Management System) is included at no charge with MicroSim Curriculum, and allows you to manage your learners, their progress and run reports on your educational program. By using MicroSim and CMS, you can effectively automate large parts of the administration of your program. Learn more about CMS here.
The following table illustrates which modules are available for the 3 versions of MicroSim. Each module contains 5 patient cases with a common theme. There are 8 Inhospital modules, i.e. a total of 40 inhospital patient cases, 8 Prehospital modules (total of 40 cases) and 11 Military modules to a total of 55 military patient cases. With each of the 3 MicroSim versions, you can combine the modules that fit your curriculum. Contact your Laerdal representative for more information.
