1b Manikin faces can be sanitized between students using the Virkon Rapid Pack. The Rapid Pack consists of a reusable spray bottle (170ml) and a box with 10 x 5g Virkon tablets. Mix a tablet with water in the bottle. This provides a 3% disinfectant solution to be sprayed onto the manikin face, left for 30 seconds and wiped off with a dry disposable cloth. Each bottle will provide over 100 manikin treatments. Virkon

1c Disposable Manikin Face Shields, used in addition to disinfection offer inexpensive extra barrier protection for students sharing a manikin. Plastic face shield with a low resistance filter that fits over manikin face.

• Provides additional security for students who do not want skin contact with the manikin face.
• Trains students in the use of Laerdal Face Shield

2a Disinfection of manikin faces after class using Virkon Tablets. Mix a 1% Virkon disinfectant solution (2 tablets per 1 litre of water) that faces and couplings are to be immersed into, scrubbed if necessary, left for 10 minutes, rinsed in fresh water and allow to dry before reuse.
