HeartCode® - A Path to Resuscitation Training Success
HeartCode® is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.
CPR is a lifesaving intervention and the cornerstone of resuscitation from cardiac arrest. Efficient and standardized training can improve the rate of compliance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
HeartCode, an official AHA eLearning program, provides consistent, high-quality CPR training and accurately measures students’ adherence to AHA guidelines. The program consists of an eLearning component, completed in a self-directed manner, as well as a hands-on session, completed with a voice-assisted manikin (VAM) system or an AHA Instructor.
HeartCode courses on the SimManager® Express platform combine the flexibility of the AHA’s self-directed eLearning programs with the efficiency of a web-based platform and the benefits of standardized feedback from voice-assisted manikins. This option allows for efficient training administration and enables students to receive the benefits of real-time directive feedback during the hands-on session. Using SimManager Express, administrators can create assignments, deliver content, and report on student progress and compliance.
Laerdal offers product keys for the online portion of HeartCode BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Students use these keys to access the courses on the AHA’s OnlineAHA platform and complete the hands-on session with an AHA Instructor. As an option, HeartCode administrators can manage these keys with the Online Key Manager (OKM).
