Nancy Hudecek, RN, BSN, MS

Nancy is the Clinical Director of Quality, Risk, and Patient Safety at HealthStream. She earned her nursing diploma from Mercy School of Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree from Regis College, and a Master's Degree from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College. Nancy has twenty five years of clinical experience.

Regina Cox, MSN, RN-BC, CRRN

Regina Cox has been in the field of both Rehabiliation Nursing and Professional Development for over 10 years. Currently she is the Clinical Nurse Manager of a Professional Development department in Kettering, Ohio. Regina has been in the field of nursing for over 25 years. She is an alumnus of Duke University School of Nursing and is certified in Rehabilitation Nursing and Staff Development. Both of those fields have been the major focus of her career during the last decade. She has practiced in Kentucky, California, Maryland, North Carolina and Ohio. Currently she is the Clinical Nurse Manger of the Professional Development department of Kettering Medical Center located in Kettering, Ohio.




Carol Butler, RN MScN MEd
Coordinator Simulated Clinical Learning

Carol Butler is a nursing professor and Coordinator of the Interprofessional Learning and Simulation Labs at Fanshawe College in London,Ontario. Carol has spent a large portion of her teaching career in nursing education as a faculty member and program coordinator. Carol has set up the newly renovated clinical learning labs and has promoted and conducted simulation learning activities with faculty to improve student learning of clinical skills. She has also been active in bringing nursing educators from the local hospital into the lab to conduct simulation session with practicing nurses. Carol works collaboratively with health science faculty and nursing faculty assisting them with development of a simulation program and with integration of simulation into curriculum.

Member and serving on Membership Committee for International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning. Recipient of the 2008 International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning Excellence int he Academic Setting Award. Currently pursuing Master's in Education. Past nursing experience in chronic care, nursing management, nursing education, community based care and public health. Speaker at national and international conferences with a focus on use of simulation in healthcare education.

Paul Phrampus
Director for Simulation, Education and Research WISER Institute at the University of Pittsburgh

Dr. Phrampus is the Director of the Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation, Education and Research (WISER). He received a B.S. in Biology from Old Dominion University and an M.D. from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He completed residency training at the University of Pittsburgh where he now an Associate Professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Clare Lamontagne, MS, RN, CNE
Professor, School of Nursing, Springfield Technical Community College

Professor Lamontagne has taught in the nursing program at Springfield Technical Community College since 1988. Prior to that she taught at Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, MA. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 1987 with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from American International College and her Associate Degree in Nursing from Springfield Technical Community College. She is currently working on her PhD in nursing at the University of Massachusetts.

Thomas Dongilli
The Director of Operations and Administration for The WISER Institute at the University of Pittsburgh


Mr. Dongilli has been involved in simulation since 1994. He has run thousands of simulation sessions, authored numerous courses, specializes in the design and creation of medical simulation center. Tom has extensive experience with SITU simulation based training and center operations.

Randy Wax, MD, MEd, FRCPC

Dr. Wax is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. His clinical and research interests include management of cardiac arrest, special resuscitation situations including Protected Code Blue during biohazard events, disaster preparedness, transport medicine, and crisis training in unique environments (such as hyperbaric chambers and during flight). He is a critical care consultant physician for Ontario's Emergency Medical Assistance Team and a Transport Physician with Ornge, Ontario’s provincial medical transport organization.

Barbara Foulds, Ph.D.
Associate Dean, Health Alogonquin College

Dr. Barbara Foulds is the Associate Dean, Health at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario. She has been an early champion of the integration of simulation based education in health programs. The Simulation Centre for Health Studies at Algonquin College is a model living laboratory where students across various professional disciplines come together to learn. Dr. Foulds is a member of the Canadian Simulation Network, Board member of the Academic Health Council and the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing.

Geoffrey Tobias Miller
Associate Director of Research and Curriculum Development, Gordon Center

Geoffrey Tobias Miller is the Associate Director of Research and Curriculum Development for the Division of Pre-hospital and Emergency Healthcare at the Michael S. Gordon Center for Research in Medical Education (GCRME), University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Geoff began his career in public safety 20 years ago. Previously, Geoff worked as a Paramedic Firefighter with Alachua County Fire Rescue before moving into Emergency Medical Services (EMS) education.

Agnes Ryzynski
RRT Coordinator: Canadian Simulation Centre for Human Performance and Crisis Management Training

The Canadian Simulation Centre specializes in research – it was the first sim centre in Canada and is one of the most active in research, published in numerous journals and book chapters. Agnes has over 16 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist – ranging from neonatal to adult patient care in the areas of critical care and anesthesia with over 12 years of experience in anesthesia In addition to simulation co-coordinator. Agnes maintains her clinical skills by practicing as an Anesthesia Assistant at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and University Health Network Years of teaching experience.

 

Sandra Devlin-Cop, RN, MScN, CHE
Program Coordinator Clinical Simulation Nursing Professor Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning School of Health Sciences


Sandra Devlin-Cop is a Registered Nurse who has worked in primarily in critical care, and nursing leadership. She completed her BScN in 1987 and her MScN in 1991. In addition she received her CHE in 1992. She has worked throughout the province's acute care hospitals, community agencies and with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
