The Simulation in Nursing Education scenario set contains twenty (20) scenarios that address major learning objectives applicable to all types of undergraduate nursing programs. The scenarios, mapped to the 2010 NCLEX-RN® Test Plan Categories, offer educators the ability to provide realistic and challenging scenario-based simulation to help learners apply the nursing process.
The scenario set consists of 10 medical and 10 surgical scenarios. Of these ten scenarios reflect basic assessment, safety and infection control, prevention of complications, and communication skills. The other 10 expand upon the basic scenarios using the same patient history, but require recognition and management of complications, advanced team collaboration and communication.
