Does objective feedback during manikin training help improve performance?

Does competition motivate staff to practice?

Quality of CPR Study: Objective feedback and competition

A 10 centre European EMS (pre-hospital) study evaluating CPR performance of different crews before and after a 6 month period of using objective feedback whilst manikin training. The study used Resusci Anne QCPR and Resusci Baby QCPR with the SimPad SkillReporter. The impact of competition between the ambulance services and within the ambulance services was also investigated. The equipment was provided by Laerdal Medical and the study was co-ordinated by the SESAM supported PH-SIG group. The results will be presented at the SESAM annual meeting in Belfast in June 2015 and at ERC in Prague in October 2015.
