A New Level of Efficiency in CPR Training - Laerdal Medical Introduces a New QCPR Classroom Solution

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY, October 23, 2023

Survival from sudden cardiac arrest depends on immediate, quality CPR and AED usage. Conducting CPR training that effectively prepares learners to act in a cardiac emergency requires significant classroom equipment needs – often resulting in a tedious and inefficient experience for instructors. To help streamline the process of conducting courses while maximizing learning outcomes, Laerdal Medical has launched a new, smart Quality CPR (QCPR) classroom solution.

Featuring a trio of products that work together to deliver a more cohesive experience for both instructors and learners, the new classroom resource consists of:

  • The next generation of the legacy Little Anne manikin, now in a lightweight, stackable design with a new filter for simplified setup
  • A universal design AED Trainer that integrates with Little Anne and other QCPR manikins
  • A revamped QCPR App for smartphones and tablets, offering real-time CPR feedback, detailed reporting for instructors, and seamless integration with QCPR manikins and the new AED Trainer

Increased portability and ease of use means instructors can spend less time transporting, setting up, and running their equipment – and more time focusing on ensuring their learners are gaining the skills and confidence they need.

In addition to boosting classroom efficiency, the new products help Laerdal move closer to its goal of carbon neutrality. The AED Trainer reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 86% compared to previous versions, while Little Anne reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 68%.

"Since 1960 when we introduced Resusci Anne, Laerdal has been dedicated to developing high-quality CPR training solutions. Now, we’re bringing greater efficiency into the classroom setting to further support CPR instructors in preparing their learners to deliver more effective CPR and ultimately, help save more lives."
