Overview
This model replicates the natural arch structure of a 5-year-old child’s body, incorporating skin, subcutaneous tissue, spinal spinous processes, vertebral bodies, intervertebral discs, ligamenta flava, dura mater, arachnoid mater, epidural space, subarachnoid space, spinal canal, and intraspinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). With tissue-mimicking acoustic and density properties, it supports imaging with real ultrasound device, as well as hands-on training for palpation based on surface landmarks, ultrasound-guided pediatric lumbar puncture, and thoracic/lumbar epidural anesthesia and lumbar subarachnoid anesthesia.
